Comparison
Manual standup bots reduce meetings, but they still make developers write status every day. Activity-only digests remove typing, but they can feel like monitoring. Virgo AI keeps the useful middle: drafted from real work, reviewed by the person doing it.
Source of the standup
Auto-drafted from commits, PRs, issues, and selected Slack context.
Typed by each developer from a blank prompt.
Summarized from activity, often without the developer voice.
Time per developer
About 30 seconds to review, edit, and submit.
Usually 2 to 5 minutes of daily writing.
Low effort, but context can be noisy or wrong.
Manager visibility
Reviewed updates plus a source-linked team digest and blockers.
Only what the developer remembered to type.
Activity feed visibility without the human review layer.
Developer trust
Private drafts, human review, no individual productivity scoring.
Low surveillance risk, high typing tax.
Can feel like monitoring if raw activity becomes the product.
Is there a free trial?
During beta, teams can request a founder-led setup and try Virgo AI on a real workflow before rolling it out wider. Free remains available for solo testing.
How does pricing work?
Starter ($9/mo) and Business ($49/mo) are flat monthly prices per workspace. Agency ($249/mo) is for client-facing teams that need 10+ workspaces. AI usage is included with plan limits shown in billing, and teams can bring their own key for higher-volume usage.
How is this different from Geekbot or a normal standup bot?
Virgo AI starts with a draft from the work your team already did instead of asking every developer to type the same answers each morning. Developers still review before sharing, so the update has human context without the daily writing tax.
Can I switch plans later?
Absolutely. Upgrades take effect immediately and we'll prorate the difference. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
What counts as an integration?
GitHub, Linear, Jira, ClickUp, Slack, and Microsoft Teams delivery are the current supported integrations. Free and Starter include GitHub + Linear. Business and Agency unlock all current integrations.
Do you offer discounts for annual billing?
Yes - pay annually and get 20% off. Annual pricing is shown when you toggle to Yearly on the billing page after signing up.
Free for solo testing. Paid beta for teams that want setup help and a real rollout.
